No friend of recruiter. I am not.
Then why do you care?

+1 on coaching. All I ever hear is the team will click. When? Can’t you win or tie a game while waiting to click? Other teams have done it. Where’d they find these guys? WSVA 04 has been together for almost 2 years. When will they click? College?
Outsider here but WSVA 04 seems to be winning and tying games recently. Record for last 7 games is 2-2-3. You can call it clicking or whatever but seems an improvement over the past to me.
Oops. I was looking at the 05 team (U-14) but the U-15 team looks improved as well. A couple of ties and a 5-0 win in the past few games. Overall seems WSVA is getting it together IMHO.
Take a look at the opponent of the 5-0 result.
So suddenly they aren't the worst GDA in the country anymore?
Let's try this again with the reading comprehension. I said "one of the worst" GDA clubs.
Lets try this again, why do you care so much?
I can only speak for myself and not the other posters who say similar things - for the same reason you care. We have children that play youth soccer in the area. I don't start threads about this club and that club. When I have some time, I peruse these boards mainly for entertainment and when I see nonsensical posts, I respond with my opinion - which isn't really worth that much in the big picture. Maybe my children will play on the same team as yours one day, I don't know. But I do know that I am realistic about the flaws the clubs and teams my children play for have and don't try to pump them up like the WSVA parents do on here.
People stating why they are happy is not pumping WSVA up. It is their opinion and they are entitled to it. If you are not at the club frankly who the f*ck are you to tell anyone anything different? Do you go on Amazon and troll reviews and tell people they are off base for liking a particular product that you've never bought or used? Or do you just post a review of something that you have first knowledge of, and experience with and call it a day?
There is no right or wrong here. Some folks are in a situation that they are happy with, some are in a situation that they see could be improved, some are in a situation where they are not happy. All three of those realities can be simultaneously true because it is PERSONAL.
So worry about your own f*cking kid at your own f*cking club or at least share where you are so that we can all tell you how unreasonable your decision is, objectively of course.
This is a discussion board, right? So you are asking me "who the F am I tell anyone anything different?" If you don't want responses, don't post. Silly me, I thought the concept of a forum is to discuss the topic. And, let's not move the goalposts here, what WSVA parents and fan club posters are doing is much more than stating their happiness. Don't play the woe is me card here. Ok?
You are not discussing, that is the point. You are pushing an agenda and reject the possibility that some people are just happy with their decision. There is no goal post to move. Some people are happy, some are see where improvements could be made and some people are unhappy. That is the continuum. The goal posts are individual and personal. When somebody says that they are happy with their kids development, that may be true for them. When somebody says they pay to much for what they are getting, that is also true for them.
What I object to with regards to you is you telling someone that their experience is wrong or that they have an agenda. No, they have an opinion, you just don't like it. You haven't exposed any great truth or revealed any great answers. All your posts amount to are nothing more than pages of back and forth of "nuh uh", "yes I am", "no you're not".
So, state for the record whether you are or are not, or ever have been affiliated with Spirit or just stfu because you're nothing more than a troll.

If all good players FLOCK over to WSVA, what will happen to the existing players that comprise one of the worst GDA programs in the country? Hint: they won't be there so you will have to stop bragging about WSVA.
The “good players” from other clubs will have to be better than the current WSVA players in order to make the team. From what I’ve seen, the “good players” at other clubs aren’t very good when all players are compared. All you parents who think your kid is the best thing out there are just as delusional as you accuse the WSVA parents of being.
Keep attacking Spirit, though. Just remember your delusion is showing.![]()
You have reading comprehension problems? I quoted the post that said "Its only a matter of time until all the good players flock to WSVA". Why would they go there? To be part of one of the weakest GDA clubs in the country? And if they did, they would push out all the existing players that comprise those weakest GDA teams including what appears to be your daughter since you are a delusional WSVA parent. Oh wait, there is serious development happening only at WSVA and the results will show soon or maybe in 10 years. Give me a break. You want serious development, you need a much stronger staff than just one quality coach.
You’re pretty angry for some random soccer parent. Clam down. Clearly, you have some issue with Spirit. Guess your kid wasn’t good enough to make one of the “weakest GDA club in the country”. Keep trolling, though.
You responded to me with some irrelevant post and I pointed it out. On top of it, you suggest that the "good players" at other clubs aren't as good as those at WSVA. Please, for the love of god, help us all understand how this can be true when WSVA is one of the weakest GDA in the entire country from staff, talent, development and results standpoints. Other than those aspects, what else is there for you to be tooting your horn about? Free tickets to NWSL games?
Please help us out here.
I think the question we need answered here is, why does it make you so visibly angry that parents at WSVA might be happy where they are? Winning or losing, maybe they see growth in their child and count that as a win. Maybe they feel like the coaches are working hard to develop players- it is a Development Academy, after all. Maybe they feel like the parents aren’t going to attack them verbally and/or physically on the sideline (as FCV parents are known to do) when their child has a bad game. Maybe their child is happy, and as a 12/13/14/15 year old, that’s really important. Maybe right now, they are in the right place.
So, relax. Clearly your daughter isn’t there, so try to figure out how to be happy where you are and stop worrying about what WSVA parents are doing.

I would hope they improve...parents are paying close to $10K a year. If the WSVA parents and sycophants would just tone it down and stop telling us how great their club is and how they're the only ones developing players and how close they are to matching the true top clubs in the GDA and ECNL, we wouldn't be having these discussions. WSVA's main issue is staff - they have one high level coach in my opinion. They need more...then the talent will come and develop.
