It must be super insulting to her to see Meghan just saunter into the Palace, get approval from the Queen and be fawned over in the media in addition to have Harry follow her around like a puppy. I would not be surprised at all if Kate is jealous and resentful.
She bagged the future king. I'm sure she's so jealous.Meghan got 2nd best.
That isn't the end all be all for her interpersonal relationships with the other royals and/or her husband.
What good with being queen in 30+ years do if she is treated like crap until then?
Meghan has had a much easier time being welcomed into the firm. Kate wouldn't be human if she wasn't at least annoyed.
Kate has a good family support system behind her. Meghan has virtually nobody. It's pretty bad if your family is so objectionable they can't even make it to your wedding. Meghan wouldn't be human if she wasn't looking over her shoulder wondering what people really thought of her and if would ever be fully accepted by the inner circle since that's all she has. But then again, none of us knows these people so why bother speculating what they really think? Who cares? What we do know is Kate married the future King and her son will someday be King.
If we take as a given that both sets of spouses love one another, I think the crucial difference is that - loosely - Kate married William for the title/status and Meghan married Harry for the job/visibility.
Why is that a crucial difference? Are you implying Meghan's motivations were more pure?
Crucial as in the crux/main sets of motivations of what holds these couples together. I don't think either of their motivations were pure; they are both savvy women in their own ways.

Kate also probably had to work / endure years of dismissive treatment /earning respect from those very staff given her background and some of the treatment from the press regarding her family history. They criticized her for smiling at a Christmas service. Say what you will, there is a much stronger class system in England and it has a lot of tentacles. She has had more work on that front than anyone acknowledges.
Meghan is probably not interested in any of that, easily dispensing with boatloads of rules, both explicit and implied / cultural norms, hugging people, wearing necklines, doing her "hurricane" thing, etc. No escaping the cultural differences on that front. She is an ambitious, incredibly hardworking American who expects openness, opportunity, and a literal take on things . While we identify with her approach in its americcanness, it is a horror for the British. They still have an embedded class system that influences who speaks first, esp at the upper echelons of society, etc. This is not British, and undoubtedly rubs people the wrong way. It probably delights Harry.

It's also a stone's throw away from the grave of Wallis Simpson. Their new backyard is a graveyard. It's also in the flight path of Heathrow, meaning a plane will pass overhead every couple of minutes.
Meghan always gets what she wants? Nope. The Queen has spoken, and she has a wonderfully understated sense of humor! The stuck the city girl out in the countryside in a run-down house. I give their marriage five years, tops.
Near wallis simpson graveyard, lol, metaphorical??
Not really. After all that has come out about them in recent years it seems like the issue wasn't so much that she was an American divorcee, but both their Nazi views. Even Prince Philip has Nazi ties. It was and still is much easier to blame the evil American divorced woman for his abdication rather than admit their almost king was a Nazi sympathizer.
