The point is, get out of your small pond and realize that it is a big ocean out there. One club has more teams in the top two than our metro area has in the top ten. So keep thinking you are better than the guy next door as an accomplishment meanwhile when on the bigger stage you are most certainly very average.
Holy smokes, go back and read the posts. Do they say anything about any of these MA teams being competitive nationally? I will wait.
Of course they don't which is exactly why these constant local club point updates are STUPID to begin with. You are playing in a bigger league than your stupid CCL background and nobody cares what the club point totals are. Only CCL tracks club points for their CCL Club Championship. Nobody cares anymore, let the past die. You are in a larger league than CCL so start acting like it. Worry about your kid, your kid's showcasing, your kid's team, your kid's overall age group in roughly that order. So, unless your club can put half of its teams in the number one spot in all of ECNL I'd really just STFU about these quaint little local point comparisons.
It's funny if something annoyed me, I'd just stop reading it and not worry about the person posting it...but that's just me...
But what am I am thinking, you must be the Oracle who decides what is OK and not OK to be posted on this anonymous message board, so thanks for doing your job...
That's by far one of my favorite posts!I'll have to use it somewhere else
Never mind that they were themselves so annoyed that they felt compelled to write a response about how to ignore posts.
I guess before you can truly own someone else you must first self own.
I guess you must also feel equally compelled.

Actually if you do the math, your results for the metro area teams are better than average. Statistically speaking, a pool of 4 teams should place a team in the top ten about 42% of the time for any one age group. So across 6 age groups that pool of teams should place about 2.5 teams in the top ten, on average. Using your stats there are 5.
Please show your math on that.
Statistically speaking you claim that 4 teams have a 42% chance of making the national Top Ten is any given age group? Considering that the U14-U17 age groups qualify 31 teams for the Champions League out of 94 total ECNL teams per age group any given team has around a 30% chance of just qualifying.

Anonymous wrote:Our club is a old CCL club and now we finally get to sit at the big kids table and play in ECNL! I'm so excited about this new day that I'm going to post club points once a week forever because it is what I always imagined what ECNL parents talk about! I'm a bit nervous because I'm just so excited to be here!
To think that we play in the same league as PDA, TopHat and the Michigan Hawks! I wonder what their parents talk about on their message boards? Probably about club points! It is so awesome to finally be cool! Granted, we don't actually play against PDA, TopHat or the Hawks but just to mentioned in the same breath as them.....
See you all on the pitch!
Cheers!
