Subject: What's going on with FCBEscola NOVA?
For those of you whose children did Barca last year: are they teaching Tiki-Taka as the system of play or is it more generic, and just a general focus on possession play?

There is favoritism, including favoring more physical kids over smaller and more disciplined kids, dismissal of parent concerns, communication gaps, and politics, between parents as well as between parents and the staff. Those who take the plunge will find out on their own.

So I'm the phony chiming in. Frankly, this thread confirms why changing away from the previous club was the right thing to do. If you find it difficult to believe that a parent would chime in to protect their child you are not someone I want to be associated with anyways. Me calling out the coach is not the same as attacking the coach. More to the story from the poster wanting names, sounds like you have an idea who i am so I welcome you to approach me to talk.

Actually, I've seen it happen too. AND, I've seen - actually SEEN - players make rosters (like seen their names posted) then decline, and coaches later claim they didn't make the team.
None of this "he said, he said" crap has anything to do with Barca.

Why do you think that? Yes, the vast majority are pussies. But, I’m a woman and have told a coach or two to go f@ck themselves when they acted as other posters described. I have no qualms about standing up and calling bullshit as I see it.
There is one poster who always says “name names or it didn’t happen”. That’s ridiculous. Even the mo-fo I can’t f@cking stand—I wouldn’t name on the Internet. Once you start doing that, you invite trashing other totally innocent people and ruin lives. If I said it to a person’s face, no need to publicly do it. That’s plain crazy.
The Internet outing is way more more sissy than saying it to somebody’s face. But, yes, most people at our Club just talked and bitched and whined in private but we’re too scared to step up and say it to a face.
No idea why. I wasn’t raised that way.

Yes, I agree with this. Also the part about not disclosing who it was here when he told the coach off in front of the whole team according to the story. Why not share it here where there is nothing to lose vs in person when everyone has their eyes on you?
Also, we have a daughter and son who have played for Loudoun for many years and I can't think of a single top team coach who would do what they said in the story. It just sounds made up.

Why do you find it phony that they may have had to say "no" to the former coach several times? When a top player indicates that he/she is considering other options or even declines an offer from the current team, it is not unusual for a coach to reach out and try hard to retain the player. When we left my son's former club for FCB last year, we did it on good terms and his former coach tried very hard to persuade us to stay. Our discussions were very cordial and respectful, but we did say "no" several times.

Outside of you being curious, why do you need to know? Putting the coach in check at a end of year party in front of a few other parent while drinking is much different that posting here, there is a difference between leaving because I don't like the coaching style vs I don't like person. I tell you what, if you post your number, i'd be happy to call you and tell you all the details. You don't have to believe me, I really don't care. You seem to feel personally attacked.
