It’s not a 10 minute bus ride with stops. We are an 8-10 minute drive with traffic and the bus is 30-45 minutes as it varies with traffic.

Then I guess you can appreciate how bad the problem is down county and how this

problem is far bigger than you and your family. We all need a closer in school.

I agree there needs to be another school. We are in the DCC and not far but the bus ride is long. It’s up to an hour for some kids if you look at the routes. My bigger concern is the lack of course offerings.

Agreed about disparity in course offerings. Please write the BOE to adopt the policies recommended in OLO Report 2026-2. I don’t know why there is no local news coverage about these staggering statistics.

But not the Beltway or 270.

You cannot walk across the beltway and kids have been hit or killed on these roads. The only way to get across those is a walkway and that would be safe.

No, I haven't mentioned Takoma Park at all.

This is the implication of the argument that Blair needs to serve all kids who can walk there, as has been mentioned above.

And frankly, plenty of DTSS kids (SCES and HVES come to mind) are already being bussed past Blair to get to Northwood. The boundaries are going to be frustrating as long as they refuse to build inside the beltway. Prioritizing walkers cannot be the top criterion.
