It's funny how different people interpret this. I would rank Kate and Anthony as best chemistry, hands down, followed by Penelope/Colin and Benedict/Sophie in a tie. I loved Kat and Anthony because both characters were strong, opinionated, and wrong. It was believable that they'd be drawn to similar qualities in one another but also that they'd essentially need to break each other in order to come together because that's how it is with ultra-stubborn people who are convinced they are the only ones who know anything. I also thought the "longing" parts of Season 2 were by far the best, because the animosity between the two characters kept the tension high. They also did a very good job with Kate's sister in terms of both building their relationship and also building drama around her being the season's diamond. That season was the best by a lot for me.

I will note now that I actually watched Season 2 first, then Season 1, and then seasons 3 and 4 as they aired. So that might have influenced my perception. I think if I'd watched Season 1 first, I would not have kept watching the show.

I found both Kate and her sister to be a total bore. Having watched Season 1, with the chemistry between Anthony and the opera singer, there was just no comparison whatsoever.
