No. I just don’t buy this. I think most women marry these rockstars - or stars in general - believe they are the one. That their husband will be faithful - they aren’t like the groupies and girlfriends, they are special and there are vows and commitments. And no doubt that exactly what Grohl told Jordyn.
Well, it was well known that he cheated for years, both before and after he married her. This did not come out of the blue.
It is suspected that Dave dumped Melissa Auf der Maur (the bassist for Hole) to be with his current wife, Jordyn Blum. This is one of the reasons why Courtney Love hates Grohl so much. Auf der Maur was living with Grohl in NYC and had to move out of his place.
Here's the basic timeline:
1994 - marries Jennifer Youngblood
1997 - cheats on his wife with Louise Post (singer of Veruca Salt), Youngblood files for divorce
1998 - cheats on Louise Post with Winona Ryder (Post claims Grohl broke up with her over the phone)
1999 - starts dating Melissa Auf der Maur
2001 - cheats on Auf der Maur to be with Jordyn Blum
2003 - marries Blum
2004 - 2024: lots of cheating rumors
2024: Grohl admits to fathering a daughter outside his marriage
Just further proves the adage: "How you get them is how you lose them"
The word on the street is that he was having an affair for years with Alison Mosshart from The Kills.

I don’t get why people are worried about the family fortune. I am sure there are about a million young women who can step forward and say they didn’t get rich from being knocked up by a rich dude. That’s not really how the world works.
I’m sure he will take care of the kid and the woman but he’s worth a laughable amount of money. They will financially be fine.

My sister married a guy who was part of a second family brood. He has half-nephews and half-nieces the same age as him. And both the first and second broods were LARGE. Some men have the money and energy to spare to start a second franchise.

His body, his choice? Not sure how someone, even a spouse, can insist someone else have surgery, although I agree it would have been wise for him to do.
You can't insist, or demand, but in a lot of cases, a vasectomy is a great birth control option for a couple. The added benefit is that your children won't have to compete with round 2 or 3 if your husband decides to leave you.
