In theory the ruling is narrow. In practice, not so much. Nobody wants the liability here. The ambiguity is intentional and has its own preferred outcome.

Exactly. These clinics do not need to offer IVF with any ambiguity at all and they will not.

I assume a lot of “pro-life” Republicans wholeheartedly support the AL Supreme Court’s decision. Aren’t their votes being taken for granted (as the GOP furiously backpedals)? Why is it that only Democrats have to “earn” people’s vote?

So that means no IUDs in Alabama, right? How can they possibly come to a different conclusion? If a woman from another state has an IUD, is she breaking the law if she has sex in Alabama?
