Not surprised… 19/25 of their roster from last spring was seniors, and I don’t think their JV won a single game last spring. People were over hyping them from 1 scrimmage against Madison were they still lost by 8-9, and had their starters in the whole time against Madison’s backups.
Sounds to me like there’s only 3 teams in Region C that have a shot to get the 2 seed, and a spot in states with Robinson.
1. Hayfield: kept it a 1 score game against Yorktown in their scrimmage, beat south county 10-5 and south lakes 13-7. The rest of their schedule is absolutely cupcakes. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are undefeated heading into the Region C tournament.
2. West Potomac: Put up 13 against the defending state champs on Friday. I believe that’s the most points Madison has given up since 2022.
3. Woodson: Kept it very close in their scrimmage against Freedom South Riding. (FSR went on to dominate Briar woods in their 1st game 13-3 and look like the real deal.) Woodson Was in a 2 goal game with oakton late in the 4th in their 1st game. (an underrated oakton team that is returning 8/10 starters from last spring and was up by 10 in the 4th quarter against west Springfield Friday)

No, it was never really close. Robinson looks good on D and faceoff and goalie had a nice game. Offense was pretty one dimensional with iso-middie dodges and capitalized on some EMOs. Yorktown didn’t really standout in any way. Defense was above average but they didn’t look like a clear top-2 team as the prior poster stated. They were good but not great.
But I hear that the freshman attack was taking half field one handed shots and just beating the goalie clean!

It wasn’t that close.
???? It seemed pretty close if you were watching live
You weren’t there obviously…
DP, I only watched online but Robinson looked comfortably in control the whole game to me.
