He should take away their power, apply term limits, and prosecute the Insurrectionist’s wives. And don’t forget to get Seal Team 6 on the schedule.

Norms are done in the United States. If it's not a federal law with very explicit text, it's fair game.
Hopefully the Democrats in power wake up to that reality.

The DOJ has always been consulted to determine if a presidents actions are lawful or not. Remember when Obama went back and forth with his DOJ about what he could legally do about the Dreamers?
That's not the point. The DOJ has traditionally been independent from the White House when making criminal prosecution decisions - it's one of our democratic norms followed by Presidents of both parties. That is now gone. Kaput.
The President can now order DOJ to investigate/prosecute whoever he likes, with no fear of prosecution. You might to read what Nixon did - the Supreme Court now says that's OK.

So, yes, POTUS can order them to do anything, including using Seal Team 6 to assassinate political opponents. Because the opinion also says that one cannot inquire into motives when dividing official acts from unofficial acts.
A burglary got impeached; a sexual affair got impeached; a phone call got impeached but somehow Biden assassinating Trump with Seal Team 6 goes ahead untouched. This isn't Game of Thrones. The 3 justices are so out of touch as to be incompetent.
If the Supreme Court says a President isn't criminally liable for an act, how could it be a "high crime" subject to impeachment?
This goes back to whether you can impeach someone for something he was never even charged with much less convicted of.
Impeachment was only ever about getting unfit people out of office and never about the criminality. That is why the Dems didn't vote to remove Clinton - lying about sex is bad, but it wasn't an act that was worthy of removal from office. Trump should have been removed for his trying to bribe the Ukranian president for personal gain. But the GOP chose not to, so here we are. Trump should have also been barred for seeking the presidency again by vote of the Senate in February 2021. But McConnell and the GOP side basically said, he is out of office and can now be held criminally liable for his actions. But the SCOTUS just removed that, so Trump is no immune because he will be able to argue that ANYTHING he did during his tenure in the White House, was a part of his duties. So staging a coup, taking out political opponents, blackmailing foreign leaders - all immune according to the SCOTUS.
Not the Clinton lies again. He was impeached for lying about sex, he was impeached for perjury.
And the perjury was about....?
His unwillingness to be truthful in a court of law.
Don’t play word games. He wasn’t impeached for lying to the American people (although he did). It was for what he said under oath.
