It's part of the music culture in which Puff Diddy Daddy, Chris Brown, and Rihanna make a ton of money and protect each other.
She made excuses for him publicly.
She did, her song We Found Love (and the video) are about their relationship, after the indecent.
Chris Brown was arrested, charged and plead guilty. He had to serve community service in Richmond with regular people (like picking up trash). At the time he claimed he had anger issues from watching his stepfather beat his mother as a child (which was corroborated, but doesn't ever excuse his behavior).
He has had other violent interactions with men and press, but I do not believe his pattern with women continued after Rihanna. I am not making excuses for Chris Brown, and I am not fan of his, but I don't think he is anywhere along the same lines as Jay Z and Combs. I definitely think Jay Z knew.
Who I really want to know if they knew is Pharrell. He is TIGHT with Combs and produced so many his songs. I mean very good friends.
PP here. I appreciate your taking the time to share this info. All very sad and disturbing.

Likely some other woman will also put up with it for the money, fame, opportunities etc.
Anyone know what led to this video being released now?
It wasn’t the money and lifestyle, it was her fear of being killed.
She did leave him and didn't die.
I may be naive but I am not sure how much I buy into these underworld conspiracies. I am pretty sure a rapper killing his long term girlfriend would land him in jail.
His ex wife is dead.
She died of pneumonia. Was there ever any indication he played a role in her death?

Jay Z was Diddys best friend. Birds of a feather flock together .
The way Beyoncé’s sister physically fought Jay Z in that elevator alludes to something deeper than cheating
Jay Z and Diddy have been tight for decades. Jay and Beyoncé know exactly who this man is. It’s really frightening.
Jay Z compared himself to Ike Turner in a lyric and Beyonce to Tina Turner. Truth spoken in jest? Beyonce definitely gives battered woman energy. I’ve followed her career from the beginning and saw the change from the talkative and outspoken country bumpkin Destiny’s Child Beyonce to the timid woman she is . She walks on eggshells when speaking about him and that’s not a normal husband and wife relationship.
It’s obvious she doesn’t speak or want to do anything to piss him off. There’s a clip from 2002 on MTV where Beyonce and Jay Z were promoting a song and the TRL host asks when they first met and Beyonce quickly answers “We met a long time ago”!
Jay Z gives her this look of disgust and she immediately shuts up and put her head down because she knew she messed up. She wasnt supposed to say they met a long time ago. She was only 20-21 years old.
It’s obvious she fears public speaking or saying the wrong thing and I think he’s the reason for that. There’s another clip from the 2010 Grammy night where won six Grammys and she says “I Love you, Jay” publically to her husband for the first time. The camera panned to him and he looked pissed off that she was breaking their code about not talking about the relationship . He comes off as such an a-hole and she comes off so sweet .
Another tale that the Beyhive notices is despite the close knit family photos , Mathew Knowles and Jay Z have never ever been seen speaking to each other or in a photograph together. It also appears Solange is ex communicated from the Beyonce/Jay Z camp in LA. She’s not around Jay Z or her sister just like her dad isn’t around either and I think it’s because they both can’t stand him/strongly dislike him.
This tracks with the mountain of clues that Beyonce is in an abusive relationship. I don't mean to fire up The Hive, but I've never understood why so many women (some of whom have been in similar circumstances) build their fandom on the ashes of Beyonce's old life and self-esteem.

I feel for his young daughters.
