I don’t buy that. A democracy can’t let it slide when a leader who loses an election tries to illegally stay in power. If there’s no consequence to trying, it just invites the next one to try too.
That’s what PP is saying. All Trump had to do was suck it up the night of the election and take the L like everybody before him.
I misunderstood then. Thought PP was saying they would have let it slide if he just didn’t run again.
