It’s hilarious.

I find myself feeling sad about how her life was never was her own. And strange that for the rest of my life, it will be men (blerg) which feels weird.
William should take over by his 50s. He's my age.

She will be referred to simply as Queen Camilla. Queen Consort is just her role and it means that she is married to the monarch, not the actual monarch. QE2 was Queen Regent which meant she was the actual monarch.
So why was Prince Phillip never King Phillip?
He couldn’t be because Elizabeth inherited the role, not him
Anyways, Charles can give her the title now if he wishes
The funeral and coronation are from public funds. I suppose that means less money for the energy crisis
It’s one thing to have a proper funeral for Elizabeth but I can’t imagine they’d be tacky enough to have a grand coronation at public expense.

QE2 could have given him that title, but it was decided (by all the many advisors) not to do that because in such a patriarchal society, many people would have been confused that he was actually King Regent (the monarch) instead of King Consort.

It'll be like when an actor or singer die whose name I've heard but have never watched or listened to their work. I just think "well, that's too bad for their family" and move on.

It would have been wonderful to "have a cuppa" and candid conversation with her.
And on a lighter note, in keeping with her supposed sense of humor, ask her about all those ...handbags!
She would never have a candid conversation with you and probably not anyone. You don't know your royals.
+1 I heard on the radio today a guy who had been a White House correspondent and a London correspondent. He said that there was no minute of any day that everyone didn’t know exactly what Trump was thinking, but there was never a moment when you knew what the Queen was thinking. Her private diary/papers/letters will be very interesting when they eventually are released. I’ll be dead by then though - I’m 49.
It's the difference between class and no class.
Not really. The queen had to remain strictly neutral on political matters.
