The GOP is MAGA and vice-versa, and MAGA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trump Inc; there's no way anyone but Trump gets the nomination. They're all running for second place in the primary.

I dislike almost all of what he stands for, but he's the only one whose voice doesn't make my skin crawl at least, so there's that.

This week's 538 podcast had a lot about his candidacy - they seem to think he's got a better shot than I'd have expected.

These are good questions. This is shaping up just like 2016 so far.

I think the GOP is going to continue to lose based on their insane hatred of women and their forced birth politics. I’d say that they can’t put toothpaste back in the tube, but they’re in the process of buying new tubes of toothpaste purely to squeeze it out.
