She had a history of mental illness, was on and off meds, and was having a breakdown that particular day.
I have a relative who had later life/adult onset moderate depression who committed suicide unexpectedly after going on and then switching around SSRI. It was also a surprisingly violent death - no history of violence or psychosis in 45 years. I think many psychiatrists don’t manage these meds very well.
