Now you see why lots of GOP are not running for re-election or are straight up resigning from office. They want to get out and get new jobs before the surge of unemployed.

I’m sorry, I don’t do podcasts, but that sounds like a fascinating story.

If White women in Alabama and across the country would use even the faintest application of empathy, they’d vote far and away for Democrats. Obligatory “not all White women” - yes, I am a Democratic voting White woman (and a SAHM, too) - but it’s true. So many of these women availed themselves of safe, legal abortion and are now happy to slap other women in the face. It’s disgusting.

I've been volunteering for this campaign for the last month. I've spoken with white women, Black women, South Asian women, Latino women. And men of all ages and races. Lots of support. The election is today.

Me again. The Democrat CRUSHED her MAGA opponent in ALABAMA. What did Biden say in his SOTU? “Women are not without electoral or political power.”

No sh ! t Sherlock. Final results were Dem 62.31%. We're coming for you.

Huntsville is where NASA and a lot of engineers live. A lot of people from outside of Alabama looking for cheap living in an educated city moved there during the pandemic. It isn’t surprising that a dem won.

PP who volunteered here. I was wondering how long it would take for the Nate Silver type to show up. Keep not being surprised but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

+1 and lol. Marilyn Lands’ victory is huge.

So if I understand this correctly, you’re just out here automatically conceding suburbs with highly educated voting populations? Awesome, thanks. We’ll continue to run with that. There are LOTS of them. 🌊

Surprised? You should check what happened less than two years ago, when she lost by seven points in 2022 to the incumbent Republican who then had to resign after being elected despite committing voter and residency fraud.

“ House Republicans Endorse National Abortion Ban
After Trump said he could support a 15-week national abortion ban, a caucus that includes most House Republicans has endorsed the idea”

National ban? WTAF?

Not for the first time in this thread, the Dobbs decision did not “send it back to the states.” It left decisions on this issue up to “the people and their representatives” which leaves the barn door wide open for a national ban.

So scary that a minority of people can take away basic rights from the majority.

It would be helpful if voters didn’t fall for right wing talking points as pushed out via the “liberal media” and didn’t keep voting for Republicans.
