Sorry, no this is not a "BOTH SIDES" issue.

The democrats fund education.
The democrats haven't started never ending wars since Vietnam and that was pre-southern strategy, so really, those were mordern republicans.

There was nothing wrong with Kerry, Clinton, Harris or Biden as presidential candidates. The problem was the mind rot that Fox News creates, coupled with the binary "win/lose" approach that Newt Gingrich embraced. Are there bad democrats? Of course. But nothing on the scale of the NeoCons that got us into Iraq and Afgahanistan or the Tea Party that destroyed our balance of the economy.

Time to impeach Trump. If Vance does not end the war impeach him also.

Teach yourself and your kids the truth. American education is a joke and MSM is a brainrot propogandist machine.

In case you don't understand, this is from the mouths of #2 (Johnson) and #4 (Rubio) in the order of line of succession to the Presidency.

#1 (Vance) seems to have disappeared to Varanasi or somewhere practicing to become a silent yogi.

Why did we invade Iran?

Sec of State Marco Rubio
"We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action. We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties."

House Speaker Mike Johnson
“This was a defensive measure…If Israel fired upon Iran and took action against Iran to take out the missiles, then [Iran] would have immediately retaliated against U.S. personnel and assets."

Sen Tom Cotton
"The simple reality is Iran has a vast missile arsenal that far exceeds the combined missile defenses of the United States, our air friends in Israel, and it gets much worse every single month. That is an unacceptable risk for the United States, it’s an existential risk for our air friends in Israel, and it wouldn’t get better if we waited six or twelve or eighteen months to find a more imminent risk."

Americans may want healthcare but Israel wants war. Who do you think will be the priority?

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs: "We're heading to World War 3. The United States and Israel are rogue nations led by megalomaniacs. Israel is doing more damage to the world and to humanity than any other government. This is mass murder of civilians by Israel and the United States."

Iran is going to be in position to demand concessions from the US soon, not the other way around. Trump's failure is just astounding, even for him.

To be honest, I am overjoyed that Trump and his fools will fail spectacularly and the whole world is watching!

A lot of innocent civilians are going to die in the Middle East and a lot of others around the world will suffer economically. So... not great.

I am indeed sorry for the collateral damage but showing then world that Trump is a collasal failure may be the only good thing to come out of Operation Epic Failure.

Foreigner here. I will speak for all the world and say that we already knew that. It's the Americans who voted for Trump who appear to not be learning this lesson. And since Fox will never change, they will never learn this lesson. Trump will die and thousands will attend his funeral. It's only the history books that will record and try to explain his shocking rise to power and the hold he and the rightwing media had over his supporters.

I can't remember the last conversation I had with my family abroad that didn't include some version of 'What's wrong with your President?' and 'Just how stupid/brainwashed are Americans?'

How amazing are the things abroad? Do tell. The whole world has been f-ed in one way or another. And not because of this war alone, this is just scratching the surface.

Much of it is certainly less f-ed because they elected competent and honest leadership. We decided to try our the complete opposite and there couldn’t have been more damage to this country if we had elected Putin himself.

To put this in terms PP (you are responding to) will understand. Nicky Fuentes is a psyop.

What makes this war even more extraordinary than Iraq is the gaslighting.

They attacked Iran first during diplomatic talks (yet again) , and want to convince you that Iran is the aggressive, irrational one and that your eyes are lying to you.

How does one become as dishonest & vile as that

In just one week, Trump has discredited American military and diplomatic capabilities and destroyed all our alliances. No longer will countries want to host Us bases assuming that makes them Us protectorates/client states. It’s now clear there’s only one US protectorate in the world and they didn’t even need a base to be one

Welp that should do wonders for oil prices

Shortly after this occurred, DOE put out a statement we will release 172m barrels from the SPR (about 40% of supply), clearly in an attempt to jawbone the price back down. Unfortunately price of oil has only continued to rise.

The fact that we are emptying the half-filled Strategic Petroleum Reserve just 12 days into this shows how little thought went into launching a war with Iran. And this does nothing about the 20 percent of LNG that goes through the Strait of Hormuz. The rest of the world that depends on this energy is going to be livid with the US for a very long time.

Shit's going to hit the fan fast. I've been engaged with some staunch anti-West people on another forum and one of them, an Indian who has been backing Iran this whole time finally snapped - over the LNG crisis already unfolding in India. Suddenly he went from staunch Iran defender to calling on Modi to sand warships and military gear to force Iran to open the Strait. Along with calling for a blockade of any and all Iranian vessels traveling through the Strait of Malacca.

Well if a random Indian guy on the internet is upset…

FWIW, my very non-random Indian mom (in India) is not that concerned. She says the government is competent and have an alternate plan for the disruptions they are/will be experiencing and by and large, they trust that the country will be guided well through this mess that is not of their making. While there is no love lost for Iran (she is of the opinion that the factional fighting there has been going for centuries, and it's best everyone stay clear and let them deal with each other), the blame here is 100% on Israel and the US.
