If you’re a parent of a player, you’re eligible.

Joke. Couldn’t resist

Which team and who is the coach? None of the second team coaches have been made public.

Our offer last year from a No Coach team (where no coach was hired until Mid-August) came from Craig Harwell, one of the guys in charge.

In the past some age groups had offers sent out for first team a week before the first tryout date.

Have there any offers gone out in any age group? We were told by Friday but nothing yet. We got an offer from other club in 2 days. This is ridiculous.

They just say the name of the team in the Playmetrics email like "2010 boys gold team".

Lots and lots of orgs rarely have complainers
post here. Local to Valor--Burke, Herndon, South County, Vienna, Fc Dulles, PAC, FPYC, Villareal rarely have complaints posted. People seemed happy with GFR aside from their recent drama.

Are the offers not including the coach’s info? Big sorry if I missed that somehow.

Untrue. They are communicating coaches at tryouts. No idea why they havent published the information but most people who went to a tryout should know the coach except for the few gaps that need to be plugged (mostly lower level teams).

What's your theory on why they aren't publishing the info? Unqualified coaches?

They are probably trying to avoid publicly showing which age groups they still don't have coaches hired for. I don't think this is some great mystery. Bad situation for sure. But as so many people have pointed out, this seems quite common with many clubs in the area.

It’s not common to only list one coach per age group and still not have this info at tryouts. And no they aren’t announcing coaches for every team in an age group at all tryouts. Stop with the “many clubs” BS unless you’re going to provide a list of clubs where this is the case.

There are clubs that has "Coaching Slate Coming Soon" on their official website with nothing when you click on the link.

You do your own research. Some of those clubs that do not have complete coaching slates were specifically listed on this very thread. I am not here to defend Valor but the fact remains that this is not a problem only in Valor. As some have also indicated, there are indeed clubs that do have a complete coaching slate. Do your own research and go to one of those clubs if it is causing you this much anxiety.

Most clubs are posting coaches on social media and the website might not be updated (arlington and VSA for example).

VSA's social media lists, go figure, lead coaches. Not complete coaching slate.

Arlington still has TBDs

GFR still has TBDs

Potomac still has TBDs

These are just from the examples that were identifed on this thread. I am not going to look through every team site, but I would suspect there are more.

I agree it sucks for Valor. I agree Valor should have done a better job and not just list "lead coaches". I won't go and argue that this is "common". But simple fact check proves it is not "uncommon"

add BRYC to the list

Like six different parents that i know IRL have mentioned this board to me as a place to get info.

There are just a handful of people or maybe just one person who always seem to eagerly rush to glaze Valor whenever someone posts. It is really strange. They aren't adding useful info that people need just hurrying to defend Valor.

While Valor had so many pages, I have to say that anytime I ask about other clubs, I get mostly haters too. I think this board is mostly for people to hate and complain. I honestly feel like there is no good club around here. Where to go?

Stay home. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife.
