The Thai ship that was hit today was struck in the stern at the waterline, which clearly indicates it was a sea drone. That’s the same thing that Ukraine has used to destroy Russia’s Black Sea fleet. They are very cheap and very effective. Iran clearly has the ability to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed for a very long time.

This all would have been known and prepared for if Trump/Hegseth/Rubio/Vance were remotely competent. But here we are. No one is more dangerous than confident idiots. And that’s the US government today.

The Middle East supplies an enormous amount of agricultural fertilizer. This is already being felt by American farmers who cannot get firm commitments for fertilizer deliveries. And they need them since spring planting is right around the corner. More farm bailouts anyone?

Aluminum is about to go haywire. The Middle East produces literal boat loads of aluminum. Upwards of 30% of the global supply. Close the Strait of Hormuz and bauxite can't get in. And smelted aluminum can't get out.

It is more than just oil and gas.
