While Valor had so many pages, I have to say that anytime I ask about other clubs, I get mostly haters too. I think this board is mostly for people to hate and complain. I honestly feel like there is no good club around here. Where to go?

No need to muddy up their club by equating them with Valor. They seem to be trying to
do right by their families.

Typical back and forth on this thread.

Haters post that Valor sucks because they don't have full coaching slate.
No one denies that this situation sucks. But they pointed out that this is a problem shared across several teams.
Hater then says list the other clubs this is happening or they will not believe it (therefore Valor sucks).
Someone lists the examples.
Haters come on have justifications for why this is happening somewhere else so it doesn't count that it happens elsewhere (therefore Valor still sucks).

This is true for so many other topics just in the past couple days. Valor never moves kids up from lower to higher tier. Valor kid made hs team as freshman is a lie. Prove these haters wrong and they turn it into something else.

And yet here you are every day waiting to heroically fight the good fight on Valor's behalf against internet trolls. Why not just go out and get an I Heart Valor tattoo? Its a little odd.

Translation- us haters like to bash Valor unimpeded by fact checkers. So we will turn to bashing fact checkers.

It’s more odd to spend so much time on here talking about a club you don’t like, don’t you think?

Untrue. They are communicating coaches at tryouts. No idea why they havent published the information but most people who went to a tryout should know the coach except for the few gaps that need to be plugged (mostly lower level teams).

What's your theory on why they aren't publishing the info? Unqualified coaches?

They are probably trying to avoid publicly showing which age groups they still don't have coaches hired for. I don't think this is some great mystery. Bad situation for sure. But as so many people have pointed out, this seems quite common with many clubs in the area.

It’s not common to only list one coach per age group and still not have this info at tryouts. And no they aren’t announcing coaches for every team in an age group at all tryouts. Stop with the “many clubs” BS unless you’re going to provide a list of clubs where this is the case.

There are clubs that has "Coaching Slate Coming Soon" on their official website with nothing when you click on the link.

You do your own research. Some of those clubs that do not have complete coaching slates were specifically listed on this very thread. I am not here to defend Valor but the fact remains that this is not a problem only in Valor. As some have also indicated, there are indeed clubs that do have a complete coaching slate. Do your own research and go to one of those clubs if it is causing you this much anxiety.

Most clubs are posting coaches on social media and the website might not be updated (arlington and VSA for example).

VSA's social media lists, go figure, lead coaches. Not complete coaching slate.

Arlington still has TBDs

GFR still has TBDs

Potomac still has TBDs

These are just from the examples that were identifed on this thread. I am not going to look through every team site, but I would suspect there are more.

I agree it sucks for Valor. I agree Valor should have done a better job and not just list "lead coaches". I won't go and argue that this is "common". But simple fact check proves it is not "uncommon"
I am pretty sure VSA has posted their coaches. That is how we all learned that KL went from Valor to VSA.

Not true! We never found out what that one coach did to get fired mid-season.

Long time reasonably satisfied Valor family here and even when it was SYA travel run by the same guys mostly, they posted the coaches online before tryouts. When it became
Valor they did the same thing. This season's
approach is disappointing and very dismissive of families. They won't be getting new kids to come try out either with no coaches. Maybe they have plenty of players and don't care.

Can't believe the official Valor Line is to gaslight their families and say its normal to have no coaches announced before tryouts for a team.

They run into this issue every year. They decide to wait until it is almost 100% complete vs pushing most of the information out. It is bad decision making. Nice attempt to throw shade, dumb.

Wrong. The past few years they have always published a nearly complete coach list before tryouts started. This is a....novel (and unpopular) approach.
