I wonder how many will be excited by an orange offer and how many will be crushed by it?

Love it. Mine was told she did not have to show. Oh wait.

I hope they take the best athletes and do not just go by position. If that is the case, some of the kids who make it likely will be repositioned.

Reminder: it’s lacrosse, not track and field. It’s a skill sport on a foundation of athleticism.

Also, my DD seems relatively relaxed and focused. Going to match her energy, not this board’s.
Checked most of the boxes. Condescension, defensiveness, humblebrag. Chef's kiss on the last sentence - pure ironic snark that refutes the humblebrag.

The problem is, you try out for a specific position. So if you try out as a midfielder, and aren’t one the top 6, they aren’t au going to consider you for a defender or attacker unless they are really hurting for athletes.

You may be right, but this would surprise me. If they have a weakness at attack or on D, but 9 really strong middies who can play both sides, I have to think the strong middies will be rebranded. This happens all the time and I know it has happened at Cap. But, as with politics, I make no predictions.

Maryland thread discussing presently. #14 wasn't at G8, apparently, so that's one factor, but the problems with their offense appear to be deeper. Predictable middie dodging against well-structured defenses with disciplined slides. Not using X. Not hitting cutters. Multiple games scoring 3 goals or less in 40+ mins this summer.

YJ went 1-2-1 and MDU 0-4-0. Wow. Not sure what that means for all the rankings but I would not have predicted any of this. Goes to show anyone can lose on any given day.

What this means for the rankings is as follows:

Hero's will be new #1.

YJ Maget will be #2.

Crush and M&D will each move up a slot to #5 and #6, respectively, due to Mass Elite starting it's anticipated descent.

Pride could also move ahead of Mass Elite to #7, but it will be close.

No other changes are expected in Top 10.

Assume these will be final rankings until Fall?

Good luck to all those parents who finally have no control over their daughter’s lacrosse path. Should be an interesting week. May the odds ever be in your favor.

This is pre-frosh lacrosse. Many of these girls will not be playing their current positions once they get to HS. Especially middies - the fastest with the most endurance will likely stay here. Others will be moved to Attack or on the D. I’d much rather have my kid on the team and contributing not clinging to a position she may not be able to play anymore. Goal is to get on blue; let the chips fall where they may after that.

There’s vomit on my sweater already.

You’re wearing a sweater in July?

Yes. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.

Ok, then.
