This article is just heart rending. It’s a good example of the way the forced birther states practically go out of their way to force people in the sad circumstances into worse and worse situations. Who is this benefiting? Is this “defending life”? Who is well served, the newly sober mother? The newly sober father? The siblings who were already here? This cruelty serves nothing but to cause pain.
It is benefiting Elayna, the baby that would have been aborted but now has a chance at life. I see why the mother felt like abortion was the best option, but it is pretty cruel of you to say that that child's life "serves nothing but to cause pain."
This is a simpleton response.
I am adopted. I would be fine if my mother had an abortion... I wouldn't know the difference.
But her life would have been much better. I hate how she had to suffer because of her pregnancy with me, how other people treated her like garbage.

They’re all about letting voters decide until it’s time to let voters decide. Then they don’t want any of that noise.
In other words, they’re slimy liars who will give any justification for what they want, even if it contradicts previous justifications for their positions, because they don’t have any actual convictions, and every position they articulate is just about getting what they want right in that moment.
Correct.
Which is why, when Trump and the GOP are hinting (and sometimes Trump is openly saying) what they plan to do, even if it sounds far fetched and totally ridiculous, understand that the GOP has no scruples and will say or do whatever they want to get what they want.
No one believes what he says other than his base. What he says at this point about abortion or IVF or any reproductive issues is of little consequence. He overturned Roe with his SCOTUS picks and everyone knows it. He will have to suffer the consequences which likely include a bigger loss than last time around.
It’s not “him” I’m concerned about. Trump is only the symptom of the GOP’s rot.

Who is paying to support this child in life? The GOP cuts everyting from neonatal care to SNAP and the list goes on.
