We’re you the parent that wrote the script for the kid that had to read off her list of complaints? Decision aside, calling out is fine, being downright rude and bratty is not.
No I was not, but I was cheering her on.
Everyone has the right to call out a whitewash (if that's not a racist term).

Moco rules for outdoor gatherings just loosened up this week given county hit 50 % vaccination rate and Dr Gayles said he expected in 2-3 weeks Moco would hit phase 2 and loosen up more.
Why was SR not able to do something similar for their seniors?
I thought SR was having a prom?

Fair enough. In that case I stand corrected. If it was indeed entitled and disrespectful, then that's not OK.
Reposting because I screwed up the formatting.
Oh, cry me a river. The admin gets everything it deserves. When the raison d'être of an institution is driven by adult egos and greed what do you expect?
This has nothing to do with COVID and everything to do with $$$. This is a fundraiser for the school, and has always been a way to screw dollars out of the alumnae. They can't attend so they won't be writing checks.
The admin deserved to be called out for its disingenuousness. People shouldn't be expected to be quiet when they're being lied to.

I didn't listen to the call, heard about third hand. If the seniors were indeed disrespectful, that's not OK. However, if they disagreed with the Administration's decision using clear language while staying civil, they were well within their rights, and in fact staying true to the SH goals. And what precisely does your comment about the "real world" mean? Are you implying that as long as there is any injustice or suffering in the world, people should not be able to have fun? I walk around the real world every day, just as you do, and (1) Covid cases are declining rapidly in MoCo, MD, and across the country, and, (2) if you are talking about social justice, I think the girls and the country at large have given their pound of flesh in the last year. If we're now at a point where the test of being able to party is pure virtue and total safety, we are certainly no longer living in reality.
You should listen to the call - it sounds like you would have been less than impressed too. Most parents we know didn’t like the way some kids talked to the administration, and the chat box was just plain obnoxious.

I thought we were bringing up strong, independent women who stand up for what they believe?
Except when they disagree with the school administration. Then they need to shut up.

The white dresses are considered racist.
