No, it’s not a fact, and your ignorance is showing. Get off your so-called “woke” high horse.

I don't care at all about voting representation in Congress. if it mattered greatly to me, I'd move. And agree with the above, and more.
Well you could say that for every single person who lives in the District that wasn't born here. What a stupid thing to say about the disenfranchisement of 700,000+ Americans.
The foundation of DC disenfranchisement is slavery. Racist white Americans didn't want blacks running the capital. That is a fact. So they took away their voting rights in Congress.

When did the US capital move to DC?

Most states have towns and counties with their own governments. There may be a couple of states with lower population, but that population is spread out and requires infrastructure that is quite different from that of a city.
It makes sense to have DC be turned over to Maryland. The "powers that be" have already carved out the federal area, so it would be easy to do this. That will give more representation to Maryland and give representation to the District. They will likely get at least one Congressional representative and will share the selection of the Senators. Perfect sense.
I agree. Even states with small populations are still large in territory and more multifaceted in land use, from urbanized to rural.
Being a state comes with a lot of political powers as well as responsibilities. Would a DC state have a governor as well as mayor?
Handing DC over to MD solves all the issues. So why not do this?
this- Wyoming has real Americans doing real American jobs like collecting disability and farm subsidies
And making crystal meth in the barn.
