What a powerful statement!

I'm not defending Trump, but I am truly sick of almost everything he does being described as racist, misogynistic, etc regardless of what he says or does. Those words lose their power and meaning when overused.
So the translation here is "I am just fine modeling racism for my children"
PP here. Why am I not surprised at your response? Whether you want to believe it or not, I loathe any comment or action that's racist and hurtful because I work with kids from all kinds of backgrounds every day. I do think that it would be far more effective to call him out for his more egregious comments and behaviors. Just my 2 cents.

On #NationalDanceDay, I'm shouting out the Lethal Ladies, a Baltimore STEP team who I saw perform back in 2017. I’m so proud of you all—and everyone who’s dancing today!

Yeah, that's really going to change the structural issues plauguing baltimore. Look, I like MO but we give way too much credit to BS optics and tweets.
If MO repped bmore so hard, why is she not moving there instead of Hollywood?
It's easy to tweet. it costs nothing.

If Spanky hates America he should leave it.

Sorry, but if you've ever been to the non-harbor area, you know it's true. I was once around the police station and there were numerous dead rats rotting on the sidewalk. In broad daylight. With people walking over them nonchalantly.
An American president should not talk that way and say the things he said, like "no human being would want to live e there", about other Americans.
Actually, that’s exactly what an American president should say. If you hide the problems they won’t be addressed. In the next few days, all sorts of aid will be rushed to Baltimore. It is, of course, short term and will have little effect. The rub is to really focus effort on Baltimore’s problems rather than having false outrage that the truth about the city has been revealed.
NOPE. You DO NOT get to play it both ways. If other politicians are not allowed to criticize America -- and are told to go back to where they come from -- the president doesn't get to criticize it either.
You people are such hypocrites. It wasn't even been 2 weeks since the whole ruckus over congresswomen daring to point out problems.
"Love it or leave it" my @ss.

So if he's just a little bit racist, let it go?
What do you tell your kids of all backgrounds when they ask why he says their home is a sh!thole?
If you think the way to do it is to call out everything he says and does, then go for it. I'm not here to argue.

Then his supporters have to find some way to make out as if he did not say the most vile racist thing, and we all get caught in this whirlpool of hate.
Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.
Vote this a****le out, please.
Trump supporter here. I agree that what he said was vile and racist. What is your opinion of Baltimore? Hi
I've never lived in Baltimore. I've enjoyed spending time there. I grew up in Rhode Island where corrupt politicians are nothing new, so Baltimore's corruption doesn't shock me. I know a lot of people who live in Baltimore and feel fiercely protective of the place. I don't imagine Trump's disgraceful comments will endear him to many who live there - but of course they weren't aimed at anyone who lives there; they were aimed at his lily white, uneducated base.
I'm sorry to hear you support Trump.
What "base" keeps Baltimore schools virtually segregated?
Systemic inequality. Perhaps you've heard of it.
PP here. Just pointing out that "Lily white, uneducated" folks don't have the power or money to keep schools segregated. It's those with money who move out of the city and/or send their kids to private schools that keep a school like Ashburton 96% minority.
