Bullis is NOT a boarding school. They have a relatively new program where they bring in wealthy students from China who pay extra tuition and live with local families. It should be a cool cultural exchange, but those kids are pretty isolated socially. There have been a few athletes who do something similar, but at the expense of the school’s paying families.

Nobody is hating. It is great to have excellent programs, however,pulling in kids from out of town is just insane. I know for sure many athletes who have the means to pay but because they were recruited don't pay a dime. I think that is awful. This is not college.

My kids are very happy at Bullis, but as a parent, I am incredibly frustrated with the administration. All of the parents I am friends with feel the same and I hope there are people from the school reading these forums. The only reason we even started at Bullis was because of the educators and how much our kids enjoy being in school and learning. We couldn’t care less about the athletics. As our kids get into the upper grades, if something drastic does not happen, they will lose another full pay family who donates as well. As it is, we donate with restrictions so We know where our money is going.

We didn’t like it, and we left.

The sad part about all this is there are some very good teachers there who deeply care about their students.

The current administration from the board to headmaster are really tarnishing the schools reputation.

And yes the school has very money and has taken on large amounts of debt.

Plus if you don’t like it, leave.

This kid is probably full pay. Bullis has a history of helping groom first round NFL quarterbacks. There are plenty of parents who may think the school is a wise investment for their kid who has potential.

I thought Bullis was going to layoff teachers because they were going broke, and now they are paying full ride to rent a QB for a year or two?

As a full pay parent this really burns me up. They do this for all sports at Bullis. Pulling them in from all over, non-stop recruiting and then full rides on the backs of hard working parents. They need to stop or they will lose all of their full pay families.

We pulled out last year and your prior post is very accurate.

One thing I will add most of the emphasis on sports is really on the male side of the house. Other than girls track and field, this pinhead headmaster could careless how the other girls teams compete.

Our daughter seems much happier at another ISL team.
