A longer established and higher quality feeder club in Pipeline is why.
Well WSVA is screwed if they are banking on the GF feeder being their saving grace.
WS VA did this to themselves too. They dropped anchor right in the middle of the shark tank with no bait. In my opinion this was totally predictable.
They tried to build the appropriate pipeline, but then BRYC and Loudoun and Arlington all walked away from the pipeline arrangement over control issues. And all subsequently pursued something different and independent, whether ECNL or DA.

Totally random post.
Beating the drum while walking in circles. There is no plan.
Are you in band? What instrument do you play?

I think it depends on the team. VA's 19s were clearly better until the spring hit, which is why I always find posts dismissing older player movement ridiculous. I was very surprised to see the VA U17s are having better results this spring than they are. And they have had some injuries and our done people. They had our goalie in the field on Saturday. That's not typical. The U15s have a forward, like a true goal scoring forward. Filling that one key position is game changing. I think the U14s have a very good core group. They need to trim some fat. And I'm not going to pick on the U13s. They get pummeled enough.
Spirit MD has smaller rosters and doesn't engage in all the playing up that VA does. The top scorer on U15 is an 04 and plays 04. She's in the top 10 for goal scorers in her age group in the country. I think she's impressive and YNT material.
Spirit VA U15 has a true goal scoring forward? You do realize the stats are all posted on the DA website, right?

I keep hearing that and yeah, makes it easier. But a lot of top tier clubs actually survive off of recruitment from smaller developmental clubs. And I read somewhere that the top 06 FCV scorers didn't actually some from FCV. If Spirit rostered appropriately, I could see Spirit becoming a destination for top players of smaller developmental clubs, but not if it keeps mismanaging talent.
The question is why go to spirit if they can go to bryc, fcv, vda, McLean, etc?
