We expect accountability out of our leadership. That is why Franken had to go too.
Imagine if the GOP had stood by "family values" when the Access Hollywood tape came out. Imagine if the GOP had rejected Moore in Alabama. Imagine if the GOP forced Steve King's hand. Imagine if the GOP stood up for voting rights, one man, one vote and equal facilities for voting at the state and precinct level.
And instead, we are getting that 'the dems are overreacting" - no, sorry, the GOP has stood by as racist after racist and mysogynist have claimed the mantel for the party despite the rhetoric of family values, fiscal restraint and peace through strength abroad.
I don't even know what the GOP stands for anymore, but it is nowhere near the party I grew up with.
Steve King (rep congressman, Iowa) says white nationalist stuff regularly (including in a New York Times interview 2 weeks ago). Republicans haven’t even managed to slap him in the wrist. Yet Democrats want Northam to resign for a picture that was taken 20 odd years ago. If Northam is a racist now, you think someone might have noticed it. Sounds like he has changed.
What GOPer is nicknamed coonman?”
What GOPer has dressed in klan robes or black face and survived politically?
The GOP are more subtle and thus more effective in their racism and racist policies that prevent our democracay from flourishing. Sorry if you can't see that.

He’s really a racist.

That’s really odd. Shake a man’s hand.
Being ignored here and by MSM.

O-u-c-h!
That’s assuming Ralph is in blackface in the photos.
He could be in the klan robe. I think he is. He refuses to say, and the media isn’t investigating.
With his use of the nickname “Coonman,” his refuse to shake a black man’s hand on live tv, and the photo, I truly believe this man is a racist.
Exactly. The man is a despicable racist. Just imagine how he treated his black patients. I knew a nurse who told me her racist physician employer made black people come in through a back door. He was a Democrat - of course!

Anyway yes obviously Northam is going to have to quit. There's no way out of this, I don't think. Or else maybe he'll become Senate majority leader as a Republican.

Uh huh. And all of this newfound hatred of Northam's racism has nothing to do with late term abortion. Absolutely nothing.
So a man who went by the nickname “Coonman” and publicly admitted it, and appeared in either blackface or KKK robes and pointy klan hat and published the photo to commemorate his graduation from medical school is being unfairly targeted because he’s pro-choice?
Ok pretzel person. Twist twist twisty.

It was horrible. But he already apologized and will face serious repercussions. His career is over even if he doesn’t resign.
Still waiting for the apology from that Catholic school...
