Love the sarcasm.... if you're the parent of a U12 player thinking about college commitments and the WNT for your daughter right now, it's time for a reality check. And I say this as a parent of a daughter playing for a club with multiple players currently on YNT's at multiple age groups. Reading these posts, it seems that most of the focus is on a particular U12 team and how many games they win. Games won at U12 will mean nothing when they are 15, 16, 17... and it certainly won't determine which kids play at a higher level. Don't pick a club based on wins and losses. Pick a club based on their development philosophy and, more importantly, the coach that will be training your kid.

1. They were in the very top bracket, higher than McLean, higher than Charlotte Academy (which is DA now, so that's their pre-DA team), but they were always strong, when they were in the ECNL and now as a DA).
2. They made it to the finals and lost to FC Dallas, which is another very strong club from Texas.
3. What are we nitpicking? It's highlights, so you don't see the whole game, but the video shows both teams playing possession. I didn't watch it end to end. I went through different clips for a couple minutes each. Both teams had nice connection moments and were playing from out of the back.
On a side note, it must have been freezing that day because several of the girls are wearing pants and long sleeves. Brrr!
If either of those clubs is selling that as possession soccer, the parents should ask for their money back.

I'm not going to annotate the whole game, but I will post one clip to say that it is: 0:35-47. What's that? The keeper plays out of the back and the girls make several small passes.
That's a great clip if you're Clarkstown.
Yeah, I know. I was waiting to see if the Loudoun haters could tell the difference. They can't. This is just proof they will attack no matter what. I have seen ECNL and DA teams, at different age groups. I didn't see anything here that was so gross and hard on the eyes. No more than some other games I've watched. I won't sink to their club bashing level, but we could change the uniforms and names and this could be some other clubs that certainly think a lot of themselves.
I think you are referring to my post saying that these teams are not playing possession... I am not from your area and have no dog in this fight in terms of the clubs in your area. If this is what ECNL and DA look like in that region, you probably have too many teams diluting the talent pool.
I also would not describe either of these two teams as playing possession soccer. Clarkstown looked more composed and had more of the ball, but even Clarkstown did not look like a possession oriented team. Here's an example of a U14 ECNL team that I would describe as a possession style team. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQFlrRW2ZlI I specifically selected a team from a different geographic area, age group and different time period to be neutral.
Crazy how 13 year old kids play a more disciplined possession style than 10 year old girls. SMH

Anonymous wrote:You can criticize these little pre-ECNL girls if that makes you feel better. But they are coveted by other clubs. They have defeated just about every local team and many top East Coast teams. People from apparently all over including the local DA and ECNL teams are coming to discuss them on this board and try to recruit them. Parents from other clubs are recording and posting their games on YouTube. Good for them.

These are 10 and 11 year old girls. They are not DA or ECNL.
