DCPS has a process where a panel of people, including parents, interview 3 finalists.
A few charters may have a parent panel, but that is rare in DC.
I think the distinction here is that the LAMB board told parents they'd be involved in the search but didn't specify how. And I don't' know that an interim hire was even on the horizon when that commitment was made.
