She seems emotionally stunted and while Kevin blames himself for everything wrong in his life, Kate blames her mom or everyone else for everything wrong in her life. She has not ability to take responsibility for HER choices. Get therapy and get over it.
I can't tell if the writers are trying to get everyone to hate Kate's charecter or if they really have no clue how whiny and annoying they are making her. Too bad because I was excited to see her character have some depth and deal with her weight. Hell, she doesn't even have a job right now.

I think Randall has fewer flaws as a person -- Kate IS a bit victim-y, and Kevin has lived a very narcissistic life, but part of any good movie or show is the complex, not-all-good-or-bad characters. Sometimes I think both Randall and William are less interesting because they are so "good." I mean, if I had to marry one of the Big Three, Randall, hands down, right? But a good show/movie needs flawed and complicated people to make it interesting.

And I enjoyed having William back, however fleeting, especially those scenes about how it could have been when Randall was young.
And, yes, I noticed how tall Tess was, too!

Randall always makes me cry. And Beth is also wonderful. They are three dimensional in a way the others are not. My favorite line last nigh was Beth's line about cool nicknames Deja's mom had for her.
+1!

Ha. So I get Rebecca there!

Moore did not receive an Emmy nomination for last season, but I don’t see how she can be denied this season.
I was fine with her not getting an Emmy nom last season, but ITA that she is *killing* it this season. For sure she deserves the nom!
Justin Hartley needs to be nominated for this season, too.

I do to, but being completely honest: her extreme weight is so incredibly distracting. I'm always thinking how uncomfortable she looks. I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying that, but it's true. I wish she wasn't so incredibly heavy.
I feel this way too. I love the direction we are headed with normal sized women getting roles, modeling jobs, etc. but Metz is an unhealthy size. I find it distracting too.
Yep. I have nothing at all against heavier actresses, but Metz's weight is truly unhealthy. She always looks like she's close to having a heart attack. I honestly wish weight loss was going to be part of her story line.
