I agree!!! It isn't fair to the listeners that we have to switch channels when she comes on. The Voice is awful.

I thought I was the only one annoyed by Laura’s voice.
It’s still hard to believe that BBC could not use a better anchor for the program.

Wow, a lot of whiners complaining about her accent. Is this all you have to do?

On the Internet it says she has an Esturial English Accent which a rather common lower class accent. This combined with her nasal, gritty voice makes it impossible to listen to.

Why do we have to suffer her horrid voice and accent during the Ukraine crisis? It is really terrible.

Indeed she certainly doesn't have a broadcasting voice. I am surprised they keep her.

I used to look forward to BBC News. Now, I skip it. What a grating voice - simply unbearable.

Laura’s voice is softening. She is now tolerable and actually easy to listen as long as she does not loudly screech with that twang.

Her voice is so bad it makes me quiver and switch channels. Too bad she didn't stay in England.

Ref. Laura Trevelyan's accent. No such luck. She is in London working at the BBC until early January. Then back to the Big Apple.

Happily this week they have her as a reporter which is much easier on the ears and psych. Either her husband has resigned from ABC News or BBC has seen the light. Hopefully she will not be back as Anchor.

I was always looking forward to the days when Laura Trevelyan was off. Now she is there 5 days a week. What is wrong at the BBC? Her voice hurts my hearing so I have
to stop watching BBC at night.

She really is so painful to listen to. But as I see from previous Posts her connections thru her Spouse (ABC News Director) she is protected. I just change the channel when she comes on.
