Well, I hadn't heard of the witness who claims to have seem Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, but apparently that's been out there for a while. More importantly, this PP said she wouldn't trust any supposed witnesses who come forward:

I'm trying to discover if she has a principled basis for that mistrust, or if mistrust is just code for "discount them because them don't comport with my preferred narrative."

2. This is more old-fashioned self defense. So what is the law? If you chase someone down, and the chasee fights back and is beating you up, is it then self defense to use deadly force? on one hand the shooter was getting beat up and his life may have reasonably been threatened (maybe a stretch). but on the other hand the entire confrontation was started by the eventual shooter, so how is that self defense?

2- The law does address agressors (or those who may provoke the use of force against themself)- SEE BELOW. From the testimony of the guy who gave eye witness to police, its no wonder Zimmerman is not in jail. He told the news agency that he saw Martin on top of Zimmerman and heard Zimmerman call out for help. So the only two direct witness info we know is that Zimmerman claims he was attacked as he was going back to his car, and that the eye witness saw Martin on top of Zimmerman.

I'm not saying this will, or should happen, but I'm a little concerned about what the reaction will be if - IF - the feds and state decide no prosecution is warranted. Again, not saying this is likely, but it is possible, and there are a LOT of very emotionally invested people all across the country.

No need to be rude. I did not just come to the conclusion that all can have scary individuals by looking at the mugshots. I am operating in the real world and it is horrible that Trayvon Martin is dead. It is horrible that George Zimmerman was roaming the neighborhood with a legal gun ...
