We all turned out just fine! Landon and GP are both great choices and your son (or your family) won't be less catholic if he goes the independent route. Despite the rantings of the poster on the previous page. I have many catholic friends who went to ALL the schools mentioned in this thread. Many went on to top tier catholic universities and colleges (and law/med schools). Others went on to ivies and the like. Good luck!
Very few native DC Catholics send their kids to Independent schools. If they don't send them to a Catholic high school, then they will send them to a public school.
That is how it is here in DC.
Native DC Catholic here sending kids to independent schools. There are more than a few of us who do not view the choice as a dichotomy between Catholic school and public school.

Your High School choice defines who you are.
Might explain why so many Catholics in the DC area love to talk about the GLORY DAYS and never venture beyond DC.

To my knowledge NO ONE CARES. This thread is a humorous window in to a part of DC area culture that is beyond recognition for the vast majority of people who live here.

The poster who continues to rant on this topic must not have had a very sucessful career or must be verry bored if he is that infatuated with where Catholic families send their children.
