VDA is hands down best when it comes to college placement. ARL doesn't even compare.

Kids in Vienna are too smart to play college soccer.

Oooh! That is a tough one although it may be a logical answer. Maybe VDA can prove you wrong by listing the colleges they place into?

Very odd that girls who are committed would leave Arlington, NVA and similar clubs to drive all the way to VDA for no reason. Like it or not VDA is attracting the most talent right now. And if your daughter is good enough she will tryout there and leave her club if she gets an offer.

"Mr. Burns, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?"

"Ooh, a tough question, but a fair one."

I finally realized how VDA got to be so good. The founders all turned up on DCUM to trash all the other clubs.

I know this is true but why do kids want to move there after already having been recruited?

Why only maybe? They are both strong this season - did they lose players ?

Yup losing players, just like the older age groups. Some of the families are realizing how dysfunctional the club/leadership is. Having ECNL is the deodorant that's keeping it from falling completely apart right now.

You know this for sure? Or are you just hoping this to be true. Just focus on your own kid's experience.

They probably know if for sure, because I've heard the same things about girls leaving FVU

At least 3 dropped down to 2013, at least 3 to other clubs (Arl, VDA and BSC) and of those 6, several are top players. People are sick of MV.

Two moving from 12 to 13. 1-2 leaving club.

Two moving from 11 to 12. Several 11 players leaving club.

Several moving to 10 from other club. 09 will be better.

This is accurate. 10 leaving 11s. That’s half of the team. MYS 10 to come to the rescue?

It’s not accurate for the 12s. 12s have 3 moving down, which includes a spring addition, and at least 4 others leaving (not 3 as PP said). They are picking up 2 11s.

Incorrect.

12s are losing their best Players to VDA
smart on those players.

Hopefully they don't expect the coaches to teach them the game. the only good thing vda is good at is recruiting.

You mean college recruiting. Yeah they’re really good at that look at the 26 class. That’s why VDA collects all the best players. They’re the best at getting your kid in the school they want. Those elite kids don’t need a coach to develop them. Their parents are paying an army of trainers to do that. They need a club that will market them. And VDA is the best at that. And that’s where FVU struggles the most.

Yes. The class of 26 is 💯 committed . In other words, VDA will get your kid in the school they want which obviously gets them the 100 percent commitment. That is your catch 22. But hey, marketing is a skill and they are good at it. If those are the schools you want and you are happy with , good for you.

This is true. VDA attracts talented kids who want to go to D1 P4 Schools. And when you get the best players together, coaching/ developing is easy.

Why one should care about d1 p4? Sounds like a microcosm worry.

What all these parents dont understand is that most of this is under your control. Get better stand out, if your good enough you will get there. You need a platform to show what you can do, ECNL and GA give you that. Its not like only players from VDA go to P4 schools (if thats what your chasing). Most of those kids would have landed where they did without VDA, and those that would not have might get exposed once they report to college freshman year. Take some ownership and stop bashing leagues, coaches and other players. The coaching is what it is and honestly its subpar with the rest of the world, so fill in with some hard work and research, get off your damn phones and actually watch your kid and compare them to the top kids you see, be honest and see whats lacking.

How many of those 2026 going to P4? Can't find the list online before someone coming at me for not looking myself.
