Northern Virginia is one of the wealthiest and most educated parts of the US. Of course recent immigrants that don’t speak English that well would be working there compared to North Carolina or West Virginia.

? NoVa has a culture. It's very diverse. Parts of NC are also diverse. I prefer to live in a diverse area because it usually has more culture, and certainly better restaurant selections.
I think what you mean is that you prefer to be surrounded by certain looking people who only speak one language. That's the typical American culture.

So, why aren’t Whites lining up to work at Walmart or Safeway in NoVa? Because the wages are too damn low for a high COL area.
As to the culture,have you seen White people in Appalachia or in the south? Maybe even look at Trump and Vance. I rest my case.

The bottom 50% of earners pay the remaining 3%. That's a helluva tax break!
As of late 2025, the top 1% holds almost 1/3 of the wealth in the US, which is roughly equal to the amount owned by the entire bottom 90%.
I realize that’s wealth and not income, but which group would have less of a struggle to pay extra money toward taxes?
The bigger question is who has the most to lose when the liquidity crisis hits the fan.
