Honestly, not many unfortunately. If she's good, she can go to another "big club" and make a name for herself and maybe eventually come back. They are collectors at older ages.

most? what school? I think you can count with one hand of number of kids playing hs soccer. Kydos for the kids that play instead of being scared of the club.

Very few if any of the 2010s are playing HS. It was strongly discouraged.

The point is the pressure for kids not to play is politics/leverage driven and hypocritical. Parents are too scared to speak up because of they think VDA=Auto placement.

I thought they all are already committed for the U19 & U17

Not at VDA, but at a club with other committed players at older ages. My DD is committed and the coaches from her committed school show up at her games to check in. They spoke with her after 2 of her 3 Jeff Cup games - didn't stick around on Sunday because they had their fist spring game and needed to get back on campus. So, not unusual to have scouts at the older age group games. Plus at U17, there is still likelihood of having 2028 grad year players or maybe an available 2027.

But, don't forget per the socials, there were also numerous NWSL scouts and USYNT scouts in attendance.
