I have two nephews that age who play hockey so it kind of creeps me out. Can’t imagine being so attracted and sexually turned on and wanting a romantic relationship with kids their age.
What are you talking about? Yes, the two young men are smoking hot. But what's hot to a lot of "middle aged women" is the heat, chemistry, love, longing that these two masculine men display. They have all the characteristics that many women love and yearn for in a relationship: HOT sex, gorgeous men, tenderness, vulnerability, emotion, love.
And as for the "lusting" after the young men, you can F all the way off. Men have been doing it since the beginning of time. Looking is hardly a problem; not keeping your dick in your pants is the problem (and is a problem many men seem to have).

About the characters or the actors? If it’s the characters, honestly I don’t care or judge. It’s fantasy. People, no matter their age, can appreciate a hot body. There are plenty of hot men on screen. But this story is intimate and vulnerable with yearning. Women want more yearning on screen. It’s no surprise they fell in love with these characters. We can appreciate a hot scene (and even get turned on by it) without picturing ourselves in it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I was surprised by how many middle aged women find 18-25 year old men to be their sexual and romantic fantasy. They don't have to be your own sexual or romantic fantasy in order to love watching their relationship. Do you apply that criteria to everything you watch? You have to want to live whatever you're watching in order to love it?
I don’t think you have been reading what women are writing about them!

True. I have been watching/listening to multiple young, straight, male hosts of hockey podcasts gush about it, which I find absolutely fascinating. (I also love hockey.) It's the one thing that has made me most aware of my middle age, but in a good way. The younger generation is so much better. Progress!

I’m not surprised. Hockey is in desperate need of new fans, and HE is bringing it to them.

I wonder how he came to be cast in the show do this small part in a Canadian show that wasn’t expected to be much of anything? He has a pretty solid acting resume and this would have paid peanuts.
Some money is better than no money.

I remember that so well also, PP. They were so magical together.

Why is this so surprising? Ever notice middle aged men going after young women? Why would middle aged women be any different?
Mostly because many middle aged women cluck their tongues and criticize men for doing the same. They don’t seem to think that men sexually objectifying and fantasizing about their daughter’s friends and cohort is a good thing. But I guess deep down everyone really is all the same.
