OF course I knew about it but this event didn’t register with anyone I know who doesn’t follow politics. Look at how NYC exploded with joy over the knicks win. Look at the hundreds of thousands of people across the country, donning, different soccer jerseys and gathering to watch a game . Read about cities like Lawrence, Kansas, who have adopted Algerian team.
These events bring people together, multiplying support. spectacles like that on the White House lawn divides people. Small audience, small thinking.
