Makes ALL federal employees pay 4.4% towards their pension (feds hired before 2014 pay a lower amount). This will be an automatic reduction in pay for long-serving employees.

Why would anyone want to work for our government now?
Think about how fast (slow af) and intelligent (idiotic) your local DMV workers are. That's about to be the level of employees in all federal branches.
Well, the way to do that is to raise state taxes (income, sales, RE) and hope maximum SALT is in place at the Federal level. The States control the former, but not the latter.Anonymous wrote:
I firmly believe that in the next decade or so we will see states (blue states) make a play to keep their citizens' tax dollars in the state vice citizens sending tax payments directly to the federal government.

The senate doesn’t have to do anything to balance it, and plan to plow straight into adding trillions to the deficit all to extend tax cuts while deeply cutting other benefits most Americans rely upon. A bunch of total hypocrites when it comes to fiscal responsibility. We are screwed. It won’t look as bad as One Big Beautiful Bill in the end. But it will be BAD.
