I feel sorry for people who just want a president who would be a fiscal conservative, a social moderate and somewhat stricter about immigration enforcement, and weren’t thinking that Trump could possibly cancel democracy and give the country to Russia.
I’ve always been terrified of Trump, and I thought, after the 2024 election, “Well, maybe I’m too hard on Trump. Maybe he’s mellowed out since 2020.”
It’s shocking for me to see my worst paranoid fantasies coming true.
Those people had a couple of other options in the primary and didn't take them. I don't feel sorry for those people at all. I feel sorry for the rest of us who were laughed at and dismissed when we said how bad this was going to be, tried to stop it from happening, and are having to live with the consequences of these reckless voters and what they inflicted on us.
People who voted for this? I won't shed one tear for a single one of them.
+100

WTF? But I guess we can ignore international law, the treaties we have signed, and the US Constitution?
They really think he is some diety or monarch
He is just a man and a very very inadequate one at that.
What if Trump’s desire was to have Usha? Would Vance just hand her over?
Now I'm waiting on Trump to issue an EO establishing prima nocta on all marriages going forward.

Truly sad. Not exactly much to invade with only 50,000 people.
Our country is led by idiots.

Isn't it obvious that you will not be welcomed anywhere you go for as long as you live? Especially somewhere you people want to invade.. do these people not understand life?
I have been saying this for months. Usha has a very inflated sense of self worth if she thinks Greenland wants a visit from her. She wasn’t forced to do this any more than she was forced to take her stolen Kennedy center board seat. She does all this because she thinks people like her.
I have also been saying for months that she pushed the Vance political career because she wants to be in politics but has the personality and charisma of a wet sock. She was the one who wanted him to go into politics and encouraged it. Because she knows without him there is no fancy title or adoring fans.
She is just as sick in the head as he is but some will let it slide because she had a book about climate change visible in her video announcing this trip.
Interesting. I went the other way with that book. It’s, in part, thanks to climate change that Greenland is viewed by Trump as a more attractive business opportunity, with resources and trade routes becoming more readily accessible. Both Vance’s seem to be all in with this.
