Young white male citizen. The Maga crowd loves to blame immigrants for everything but most perpetrators of mass shootings have been white male citizens of the USA
WRONG. Mass shootings are 3 or more shot people. Black people are the largest perpetrators of these crimes. Over 52% of black men who make up about 6% of the population.
They're also the poorest. But you don't want to help with that.
The shooter in this case seems to be from a poor family too, with a history of at least one eviction. I don’t see anyone making excuses for him because he’s poor though. You think white people should be held to a higher moral standard?
The mom also has numerous arrests across various GA counties as well as drug/alcohol use. Why wasn’t child protective services called when the FBI and local police had already come to the home? Why were the children left in the home when they strongly suspected the kid posted those messages? Sounds like teachers, family and neighbors knew it was a very rough situation but no one helped him. Just telling the schools to watch him clearly wasn’t enough. This is indicative of not just that community, but how we as a nation treat families and esp children in need. We reap what we sow.

Your impedes my freedom, and my children’s freedom to grow up without anxiety about being shot to death in their classroom.
Of the two, their quality of life is MUCH more important than your stupid target practice or squirrel hunt!!!!!
Freedom from anxiety is not a thing. Self defense on the other hand is a self evident natural right.
Are you a bot? You keep babbling about "natural rights" when the rights that Americans have are enshrined in the constitution, and can be amended when society changes.
The constitution recognizes that we have natural rights that predate any government. The constitution does not grant us rights. The constitution establishes a government, and in doing so, explicitly imposes restrictions on the government to prevent it from curtailing these rights that we already had and that we still have even after creating this government.
Rights are not subject to the whims of the mob. The entire foundation of this country is based on this philosophical framework. It is utterly unique in world history and there is no plan B. That is why 2A rights (and 1A, and 3A, and…) are so passionately defended.
In years past, the right to own slaves was also passionately defended. Times change.

There are always going to be stupid people who sell stupid products (weapons, drugs, alcohol) to people that shouldn't be able to buy them. It's easier to buy things now more than ever before.
The right to bear arms needs to be amended already.
You can't get around human nature since humans had to kill to have food to survive. There are going to be stupid, violent people who make stupid, violent decisions.
There needs to be a review board of corporations and what they produce. If the products do more harm than good, the corporations should not be allowed to operate and produce things that are bad for society and the environment. Some things (like guns and ammunition, cigarettes/vaping, and chemicals like RoundUp) should not be mass produced.
Violence in the media and on computer games is glorified and is so prevalent that kids think it's normal and become desensitized.

Let's see your stats, bro.

Drunk driving & fentanyl, yes
You are wrong. These are the most common causes of death for minors.
1. Firearms
2. Motor vehicle accident
3. Drug overdose
Don't forget that the GOP pushed through the Dickey Amendment blocking funding for public health research on guns by the CDC. As gun suicides, accidents and homicides rise, we remain in the dark about the scope and the causes of the problem.
I don’t have a dog in this fight as I think guns are creepy and dangerous, but I think the stats look different when you take out the 18 and 19 year olds.

Mr. Gray told sheriff’s investigators last year that his son did not have “unfettered” access to firearms. He said he would be “mad as hell” if the teenager had made online threats about a school shooting, because “then all the guns will go away,” according to an interview transcript obtained by The Times.
