But doubtful it will work with middle aged and older Democrats that she needs to win. For the most part, older Democrats I know think some of what the party supports is weird. Remember the political appointed bald guy with red lipstick that stole ladies suitcases from airports? Remember the drag queens and trans influencers on the White House lawn and one went topless? These things are weird by definition. Calling women birthing people is weird. So for older voters, I think the messaging should call Trump what he is, convicted felon, rapist, insurectionist, etc. Just calling Trump weird actually downplays how dangerous he is and his administration would be.

All politicians (and really anyone on the television screen) wears makeup. It's just that Vance wears it *badly.*
This is a funny parody video, but the thing it gets right is the way conservative politicians do their makeup to mimic having been wearing sunglasses outside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV_J8TRlBqE
Once you see it, it's hard to un-see.
As for why Vance's makeup is so badly done, I'm guessing that Vance & Co have alienated a core demographic that includes a lot of makeup professionals.
The party that wants to ban anything remotely 'female' crossing into 'male' territory sure does like their makeup.

Isn't it quite astounding how the MSM has no issue parroting the talking points sent out by the DNC.
It's almost as if the MSM is an arm of the DNC!
I’m sure that seems like what is happening in your radicalized brain that can only think in conspiracy theories.
Oh, sweetie. There is nothing "seems like" about it. This is very much what is happening.
And, the MSM is ready to comply. The bat signal went up and the left and its proxies... the media.... all got it.

I am middle age and my family is old and trust me. We've been thinking these people are weird for a very long time
+1 I'm in my mid-40s and my parents/in-laws are in their late 70s and we all agree that Vance and Trump are weird, and that the cult-like devotion of their followers (taping maxi pads to their ears?) is also weird.
Remember that most of Gen X spent our critical early years in the Free to Be You and Me era, and that today's Boomers are the ones who raised us. They thought it was great that Sesame Street taught us about racial integration, public transportation, and breastfeeding on-screen. They gave us gender neutral toys and dressed us in matching corduroy overalls with our brothers.
They are also from the generation where women died from lack of access to reproductive healthcare and couldn't get checkbooks until they were in their 20s without their dad or husband to sign off.
They don't want to go back, and neither do we.

Completely unserious campaign by a person who failed a bar exam because she lazy and not smart.
Anonymous wrote:So to summarize, Trump is sexually attracted to children and pushes their boundaries by watching them get undressed and he thinks disabled people should just die...and the counterpoint is "liberals look/dress funny?"
Weird.

+100 So obvious what is going on. The mainstream media is a mouthpiece for Democrats. Luckily more people are waking up to the lies and propaganda by listening to other things like podcasts. CNN viewership numbers are embarrassingly bad.
