Hello more inflation. Corporations don’t pay taxes…their customers do. Why is it so hard for Democrats to understand basic economics?

He was fine the first 30 minutes, then couldn't stop from shooting off his mouth to brag about legislation and then went on to piss off every House Republican by (instead of talking about Unity) saying how he's gonna shove controversial spending down everyones throats.
For such a smart man surrounded by brilliant staff - what an idiot.
Why should he care about kissing Republicans a$$es? Serious question.
Because if you're not a member of the Democratic Party and outside the beltway, there are people who are still Republican that feel alienated.
This was Biden's chance to show he's strong, but also to show there is room on his coattails for Republicans that want to support him.
The more he talks, the more he fumbles. Any wins from the first half-hour are drooping.
Why do you never require Republicans to make Democrats feel included? Trump spent forever talking smack about blue states and in fact tried to kill blue state people from covid.

Biden should have restored all of the Trump and Obama border policies (including deportations) and maintained them for 6 months before a moment of discussion on any border bill. Anything else, is just rationalizing 3 years of outrageously terrible policy.
See the post above.
Courts overturned laws that Trump used to close the borders.
Title 42 only applied while the COVID emergency was in effect. Remember how quickly the GOP wanted to end the emergency?
Biden hands are tied unless you want him to take unilateral authoritarian action. I didn;t think that is what we wanted in our leaders. It akes a bi-partisan bill to address the problem. Biden is happy to sign it. Why won't the GOP bring it to the House floor?
Same thing happened under Speaker Ryan. The GOP is performative on this issue and sadly, a lot of you are falling for it.

This speech is solid. He worked in this room for most of his life. He’s in his element.
Yeah. A washingtonian, right? Hate to break it to you but most of America isn't likely to understand a lot of the esoteric legislation impact. Too high-browed for an average worker. This is why Trump's messaging works better than Biden.
And no, I'm not a Trump supporter.

Yes, I'm worried as well.
The problem is that Biden ran his campaign over Zoom in 2020. I'm not sure he's up for a real campaign in 2024.
