Freedom to play will always out weigh the "is this the most competitive environment" scenario. High level athletes make everything competitive, they make the environment high level, not the league. All you need is a handful of ballers to make this happen, then the environment takes over. SYC is a proven developmental enviroment. Good thing GA is a national league and VRSC wil be just two games a year for them, is this really a sticking point for people? Oh no Nationals left the league, there is ready replacement club that likely has MLSN already and is looking for a true development league their girls to compete and have the same opportunities to professionalism as their male counterparts. This is just a cyle folks calm down. The future is SYC tho...

You keep saying that SYC “is a proven developmental environment”. What are the facts, the stats or evidence that it is true?

Top 10 ranked boys program in the country. The ability to lose players to actual MLS academy programs and their program doesn't miss a beat.

And that means exactly what on the girls side?

How many SYC players end up on DC United a year and how many remaining SYC boys get recruited in college?

What exactly is SYC's college recruitment track record for their girls teams? What women's college relationships does SYC have?

Carrying you hear bobby, read the thread, I'll give you a hint USLSL

Oh, then please tell us all how many SYC girl players have gone pro.

You have two top 10 ranked boys teams and both are younger than U13. You can't be serious.

The difference is the volume of bad teams in MA GA vs. MA ECNL. Of course there are bad teams in both, but top to bottom the GA is much, much worse.

I'm not riding for SYC or this 2012 tean in any way, they are babies LMAO!. But what's going on in NoVa and where SYC fits into it all when the dust settles is at minimum intriguing because of the grassroots success of the boys program. The coahes who built that have their fingerprints all over this GA maneuver. Is GA super intriguing right now, not exactly but is there an opportunity in the market to field a grassroots GA team with players mainly from Springfield, Alexandria areas and even pull from Woodbridge. An area known for its talent but with a lack of large organized infrastructure and money like Arlington and McLean have always had becuase of demographics or deep pockets. SYC is Rising? I see it

Wait until GA morfs into MLS Next but for girls by partnering with NWSL.

If not NWSL it will be USL Super league, then these ECNL's drones heads will burst when they see that my girl can be evaluated and trained like a youth professional in an academy setting, and not lose the opportunity to enroll at UVA if an when a pro contract doesnt come at 17-18

USL Super League scouts have been to DD’s trainings several times to see players.

W League scouts could theoretically be already dually employed by a potential Super league clubs, its all USL either way, so this could be true but person is probably already on the parent club's staff too

The Bethesda top 2012 team is one of the best teams in the nation right now. Tons of talent in spite of the coach.

Uhhhh they didn’t do much at wags…

It doesn't matter. They don't even play full field. And when they do it's the fastest man out there wins.
