So, yes, POTUS can order them to do anything, including using Seal Team 6 to assassinate political opponents. Because the opinion also says that one cannot inquire into motives when dividing official acts from unofficial acts.
A burglary got impeached; a sexual affair got impeached; a phone call got impeached but somehow Biden assassinating Trump with Seal Team 6 goes ahead untouched. This isn't Game of Thrones. The 3 justices are so out of touch as to be incompetent.
If the Supreme Court says a President isn't criminally liable for an act, how could it be a "high crime" subject to impeachment?
This goes back to whether you can impeach someone for something he was never even charged with much less convicted of.
Impeachment was only ever about getting unfit people out of office and never about the criminality. That is why the Dems didn't vote to remove Clinton - lying about sex is bad, but it wasn't an act that was worthy of removal from office. Trump should have been removed for his trying to bribe the Ukranian president for personal gain. But the GOP chose not to, so here we are. Trump should have also been barred for seeking the presidency again by vote of the Senate in February 2021. But McConnell and the GOP side basically said, he is out of office and can now be held criminally liable for his actions. But the SCOTUS just removed that, so Trump is no immune because he will be able to argue that ANYTHING he did during his tenure in the White House, was a part of his duties. So staging a coup, taking out political opponents, blackmailing foreign leaders - all immune according to the SCOTUS.
Not the Clinton lies again. He was impeached for lying about sex, he was impeached for perjury.

The idea of "seal team 6" was presented as a hypothetical during oral arguments and the court has just granted the president immunity for such actions. This is what the GOP wanted.
The hyothetical seal team 6 scenario is so far outside the realm of any possibility it rendered the rest of her statements muted.
Nope, it if falls within presidental duties and powers, it is now totally immune. Biden could declare that Trump, with his taking foreign money and making threats to the republic, is an existential threat to the republic and take him out under the pretext of maintaining the health and welfare of the republic.
This is what the MAGA court wanted, so Joe should act on it.
This is psychotic. I hope this is a maga troll.
it isn't psychotic, it is reality.
The SCOTUS - any pre-Trump SCOTUS, would have simply affirmed the lower court ruling back in January, THIS court, this corrupted court, has bent over backwards to give Trump a win, undermining centuries of the idea that no man is above the law. Biden, for as long as he is still president, whether it is 6 months or 4 and a half years, according to the SCOTUS, is now above the law.
