I did. I just don’t believe her, or rather I am not convinced she believes it herself. She had also said that folklore and evermore were fictional, but it’s clear now they were not. Artists are more truthful in their work than in their interviews, so I prefer to listen to her lyrics.

In Question ?, the friends who make fun of him when she kisses him in that crowded room are probably his bandmates. Then they immediately applaud too, because they have heard his bs interviews about how being with her would be emasculating but they must have also known how he felt about her.

Same with "rosé flowing with your chosen family" in The 1: he has said his bandmates are like family to him, closer even, so that's what she means by "chosen family" and drinking with him and them.

Matty was roommates with George for a while, and they also often share a room when on tour, so the line in Maroon "How'd we end up on the floor anyway?" you say. "Your roommate's cheap-ass screw-top rosé, that's how" prob refers to George.
