What’s wrong with his attire? I can’t tell if it’s too large, or just makes him look enormous, or is too crisp and pressed for his “walk on the beach.” Something is off.

As a die-hard Dem - the one who started this thread in fact - I think I can summarize the general sentiment among our type as:

- Boy she's very pretty!
- But what a STRANGE way to dress. Does it... mean something? Or does she just like to dress as if she's been a Disney princess understudy for 20 years and is still hoping today's her day, and who cares what anyone makes of it?
- But there's that reporting that she asks people what Melania would wear and tries to copy that.
- Does she think this is how Melania dresses? Wow, she really knows nothing about clothes.
- What's strange is that even when she's wearing an objectively nice outfit - like that pantsuit in Japan - she still manages to make it look... weird. What is that? The people over on the politics thread who said she looks like a drag Queen were right. She looks like she’s in drag. It’s campy and not very effective and in a cis woman looks completely mental.

A lot of women aspire to look exactly like her and will dress in a similar fashion even if she didn't exist. For me as a foreigner she looks very American. Her dressing might be kitchy, but it's not camp in any way. That would be a compliment.

It's because you are not a native that you can't see that she looks American (-1960-70s) not American ( 21 century.) It's a great look when you're playing to the cheap seats in the theater.
