Similar to covid there will be some sort of easing up and giving in.
It’s only a matter of time. Russia will eventually have to pull out. Russia will have to decide whether that will be soon or a decade from now but it is inevitable. The Ukrainians will never let the occupiers rest. Even the USA had to leave Afghanistan after the people refused to be governed. Ukraine will be the same for Russia. It’s tragic that humans insist on wasting lives and resources on pointless wars.
This. It’s exactly like what Afghanistan was for the USSR as well. At least the Soviets protested the body bags coming home. But Russia can’t keep this up. They know they are running out of cannon fodder and munitions.
Where do these claims of Russian casualties come from? Judging by videos out there, the AU is probably taking 10x the casualties.
You're right - there were no Russian casualties in Afghanistan! Just like there were no Russian casualties in Ukraine!
It’s impressive how the Jameis Winston crab legs memes from a decade ago have been repurposed.
After the Xi visit, very appropriate. китайский краб.
Funny thing about the Chinese - the slightest twist can imply very subtle meanings. A guy like Xi is very careful in the words he uses.

Russia backed down from Afghanistan after the Russian populace learned of the full extent of how many Russian troops had been lost.
They've already lost far more in 1 year in Ukraine than they did in 20 years in Afghanistan but they are lying about it to their people and are telling them a false number that's significantly lower.
I think once the people actually learn how poorly it's going for Russia the tone may change.

pfft. Why do all the Russian Trolls argue stupid points. Worse yet, pick subjects that, in their minds resonate with the US Public but really don't.
Of course they don't. The US public doesn't really consider brown Muslims to be fully human. Very rarely do you get an actual member of the US public to acknowledge this, but you're a jewel in their midst.
This thread keeps trying to get back to Ukraine. But Vladimir keeps popping up to redirect. Wedding parties in Afghanistan! Americans hate Muslims! Just F-off Vlad. Your country sucks. And your young men are dying by the thousands every week. Want to focus on bad things? Getting close to 200,000 dead Russian soldiers Vlad. Might want to focus on that.
If you want to keep this thread focused on Ukraine, stop saying stupid, easily refutable things about America's war in Iraq.
Throw me a frickin' bone here.. something about Iraq has to stick??
