Gilman outright failed to report rumors of faculty giving the boys alcohol. They can absolutely be sued for that. They have a legal obligation to report anything like that. Talk with your sons, people, even if they were former students there. This can easily escalate into a huge lawsuit and payouts, considering the perp was there for 15 years.

At the bottom of this article it say decades of sexual abuse has been investigated at the school, from 1950-2008.
Awful and how is it still a school?

He set it up so that kids wouldn’t report that they got a ride from him (because would have to admit they were drunk) and then preyed on kids who were probably under the influence at the time. Then blackmailed them emotionally to take it further. One of the most despicable stories I’ve heard. Thank God someone came forward. I hope Chris Bendann gets sent away for a long time, and I hope his victim(s) get help, support, and the admiration for speaking up which they completely deserve.
Burn in hell, Chris.

his prelim hearing is march 3. he was likely unsafe in prison -- there are reports that he was physically threatened by other inmates.
Yeah, that’s what inmates do to pedophiles. They all know child rapists are the worst of all criminals. But I doubt that many of them get to go home. Privilege matters.

what happens at the preliminary hearing?
